The Bake Shoppe, developed in 1996, is the brainchild of Kellie Barnes, a self-taught master of the culinary arts. Before delving into the world of food preparation, Kellie spent thirteen years working as a registered nurse in critical care units. From that experience, she’s gleaned an attention to detail not possessed by most caterers. Kellie is dedicated to her customers and views each event that The Bake Shoppe and A Catered Affair take part in as a uniquely special occasion. As a result of her understanding of and dedication to quality, The Bake Shoppe has become one of the premier confectioners in Middle Tennessee, growing from a staff of one to a team of 30 in a very short time.
